The BIG V is Coming...

What do we want to do?
The BIG V in the Park – we want to get as many people along to Greenwich Park on Saturday 20th February and create a human v – hopefully something so big that it can be seen by space. The idea is to get some great pictures and use the event to publicise the work of young volunteers. This sort of event needs careful planning if it’s going to work. Won’t be any good if we only get 10 people, we need thousands!


The v showcase event – the idea is that this will follow on from the BiG v and give young people an opportunity to speak out on volunteering and to get together to celebrate the project. We need to decide if we want music, speeches, dance, food, entertainment, celebrities, presentations, or anything else you might want to make the event something to remember.


How are we going to do it?
Need some members of the team to fill key roles – most important are 2 Project Team Leaders, they will need assistants, & project team members - we need people to help sort out the publicity & start talking to the media about the events, we need people to sort out the locations, others to organise the food, people will also be needed to act as marshals on the day so people know what they have to do.


The more people we get doing things – then the better the events – so what can you do to HELP?
